Dishwashing Liquid

What you’ll need:

  • Hot water
  • Dishwashing liquid (optional if hot water is not effective)
  • Microfiber cloths
  • Rubber gloves

The steps:

  • Wear rubber gloves to protect your hands.
  • Soak the microfiber cloth in the hot water. The hotter the water, the better so opt-out warm water.
  • Wipe the top of the stove using a hot dampened cloth. Repeat this step until the surface is clean enough.
  • If hot water is not working to clean up the grease, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to the hot water.
  • Use a new microfiber cloth and soak it in.
  • Wipe the surface several times until the grease is completely removed.
  • Use a new clean cloth if it starts to look dirty with grease.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is known as one of the ingredients to clean grease and stains both in a powder and paste form.

What you need:

  • Microfiber cloths
  • 1 teaspoon of water
  • 1/4 cup of baking soda

The steps:

  • Prepare a small bowl for the baking soda.
  • Add the water and stir until you get a paste consistency.
  • Dip the clean microfiber cloth into the baking soda paste.
  • Rub the affected area with the dipped microfiber cloth.
  • Soak a clean microfiber cloth in clean water and rinse the residue of the affected area.

Advertised Cleanser

Hot water and dishwashing liquid may not work well if you face stubborn grease. One of the ways that you can do is to use an advertised cleaning product.

What you need:

  • Cream cleanser
  • Spatula
  • Microfiber cloths

The steps:

  • Read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the correct usage.
  • Once the product is applied, it typically needs to stay for a few minutes before wiping it.
  • Wipe the stove eyes by using a microfiber cloth repeatedly until the grease is all gone.
  • To reach the difficult spots, wrap the cloth around a spatula to apply the cleanser.
  • Rinse and polish the stove’s eyes by using a clean microfiber cloth.
